ALICE LIM CHENG PENG ( 林倩萍 ) plays Poh Huat’s wife, Siew Luan (“Ma”), who channels her frustrations into a constant, obsessive brewing of herbal tea. A former radio playwright and broadcaster for Rediffusion, Alice was also Singapore’s first-ever woman MC and played the female lead in Singapore’s first-ever black and white Chinese TV series. In 1969, she was even judged to be the country’s best compere. Aside from hosting events, Alice has also acted in several TV series, including Channel U’s “Changing Lanes”. Singapore Dreaming marks Alice’s film debut.
